My 3 year old son has never liked going to the Doctor's office. Waiting in small rooms, quick interactions with kind adults that gave no processing time... our whole family has dreaded every visit. Then we met Dr. Amy and...I cannot stress this enough...his 3 year old wellness check was the most magical doctor's experience he has ever had.
Dr. Amy was the first medical professional to hear my sons heart without him also crying or screaming. And I can promise you he has never giggled at an appointment before. Dr. Amy gave him the space to get comfortable then got down on his level. I would describe Breakthrough Pediatrics as caring, compassionate and competent. I worked in healthcare before I became a mom, and I often found that most providers had 2 out of those three attributes, but rarely had them all, and the ones that did were absolutely excellent doctors respected by patients and peers. Dr.Amy Watson is that! Justin is an incredible part of Breakthrough Pediatrics and the two of them combined has been a true blessing to our family. My children love going for their check ups and having them on our "team" caring for them as they grow has given me peace of mind. Let me start by saying that if you're thinking about joining their practice, do it! Do it for yourself, for your children, and the simple fact that Dr. Watson is just a call/text away. If you have a concern, you get to talk to Dr. Watson directly and avoid the run-around you face at any other Dr's office. From the moment we met Dr. Watson, we knew in our hearts that this was the best decision for our family. My son has been under Dr. Watson's care since he was 24 hours old!!! That's right, Dr. Watson came to ME in the hospital. She met with our newborn and did a full exam on him, and honestly, it was just a relief to have her there. The first 5 or so visits post partum, Dr. Watson came to my house to examine the baby and make sure we were all on track! She not only cares about your children, but she cares so much about your personal well-being as a new mom/mom. Anytime I had a first-time-mom worry, Dr. Watson was ready to give me the most sound advice. She always eased my concerns, and I'm just beyond thankful she is a call/text away. I'm also grateful that I don't have to wait hours, getting in my head, while waiting for a response from a nurse. I truly believe in my heart that this is a great practice, and you won't be disappointed by your experience. You will never be treated like just another patient to Dr. Watson, but instead like a family member. 💜 We love Dr. Watson, Justin, and Lilly!

What is DPC?
Direct Primary Care, or DPC, is a premium membership-based offering that provides families with the best of both worlds - amazing care, and an affordable, predictable price. By operating outside the sphere of insurance, DPC providers don’t need to worry about wasting time billing insurance, getting approvals, or seeing dozens of patients a day. They know what their income will be each month, so instead of taking on thousands of patients and hoping they don’t get overwhelmed, they can choose just the right number and focus on maintaining an incredible standard of care.
For patients, this translates into having a provider who is on their side - someone who knows them, knows their story, and is available when they’re needed. While our patients enjoy much longer visits with their provider (often 30-60 minutes), they can also access Dr. Watson or Liz by text, phone call, and video chat as things come up, at no additional charge.
That’s right - membership includes all office visits, telehealth and remote care, answers to questions, follow-ups, screenings, and we can provide significant discounts on labs, imaging, and medications in the event that you don’t have insurance, don’t want to use it, or when it would cost more to use insurance for those things (which is almost always!).
